Phase 2 – replace some devices with white-boxes

 

Phase 2 is to:

  • Change some proprietary hardware to white-box devices[1]
  • Continue replacement of proprietary communication protocols and data models with vendor-neutral alternatives

Main expected outcomes:

  • Disruptive attack on hardware prices
  • Replacement of some building blocks (data models, automation tools, scripts, controllers, etc.) with vendor-neutral or less expensive alternatives
